Here are additional ways you can give to WaterLegacy and protect Minnesota waters, health, and climate:
General Information
You can send a check to WaterLegacy at P.O. Box 3276, Duluth, MN 55803.
If your method of donation requires a tax identification number or a street address, WaterLegacy’s EIN is 26-3999186 and the address on our non-profit determination letter is WaterLegacy c/o P. G. Maccabee, 1961 Selby Ave. St. Paul, MN 55104-5822.
Donor Advised Funds
You can provide a donation to WaterLegacy through a donor advised fund or a personal charitable fund by sending a check to WaterLegacy.
Donations from IRAs
For those over 72 or required to take minimum distributions, consider making a charitable donation from your IRA. A qualified charitable donation can satisfy all or part of the RMD (required minimum distribution) with favorable tax consequences for the donor. A check from the financial institution holding the IRA with the donor’s name specified can be sent to WaterLegacy.
Direct Electronic Transfer
To submit a donation through direct electronic transfer, please contact treasurer@waterlegacy.org for appropriate bank information to transfer funds.
Stock Donations
To donate stock to WaterLegacy, please contact treasurer@waterlegacy.org to receive information on our receiving broker, DTC, and brokerage account.
Legacy Gifts (Wills)
To donate to WaterLegacy in your will, all you need to do is provide WaterLegacy’s name, location, and the nature of the gift. It may be helpful to use WaterLegacy’s EIN and the street address on our non-profit determination letter for more detailed identification. Gifts to WaterLegacy will be excluded from the taxable estate, and no payment of estate taxes will be required on these donations.
