Lyz Jaakola is a musician, educator, and an enrolled member of the Fond du Lac band of Lake Superior Ojibwe in Cloquet whose compositions and performances explore various styles and genres including Anishinaabe music, jazz, blues and opera.
Whistler Allen drums, sings and writes for the internationally acclaimed Hippo Campus Indie rock band from Minnesota. The band has opened for many acts like Walk the Moon and Modest Mouse, and have headlined five of their own tours.
Fendrick & Peck
Madeline Fendrick and Brian Peck are a touring Indie/Folk duo currently living in Cambridge, MN whose lyrical content suggests that perhaps the answers we seek actually are in peace in wildness, accepting our authentic selves, and love of the finest kind.
John Munson, known best as the bass player for Semisonic, continues to be a major influence in the Minnesota music scene. He’s also known for being part of The New Standards and Trip Shakespeare.
Humbird, or Siri Undlin, is based in Minneapolis and her music stretches between experimental folk and environmental Americana to embrace the unexpected.
Minnesota born and raised, Timothy Frantzich is a musician, producer, artist and social justice leader who composes and plays for numerous local bands including Sofia and Midnight Choir Social Club.
WaterLegacy is an award-winning 501(c)(3) non-profit grassroots organization founded in 2009 to protect Minnesota waters and the communities that rely on them, particularly from sulfide mining pollution. Most of WaterLegacy’s board members live and work in northern Minnesota.
